Nightlife in Bali in 2025: Our Favourite Uluwatu Nightclubs, Bars and Parties

Bali and partying go hand in hand, and while surfing is our one true priority, we don't mind tearing up the carpet (or timber) after another gorgeous Balinese day.

Once strictly all about surfing and cultural experiences, Bali has become a major hub for nightlife in Asia. Canggu, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak may be deservedly popular party spots, but we reckon the best bars, pubs and nightclubs in Bali are right here in Uluwatu.

Dodge the lines and discover the cream of the crop with this handy article. This is your ultimate guide to Uluwatu nightlife!

What to do in Bali at night?

Bali at night is a sight to behold. The tropical heat combined with the energy of the people and vibrant nightlife offers endless possibilities for a good time.

If you're hanging with friends, travelling as a couple or even solo, there's something for everyone to enjoy in Bali at night.

From traditional cultural performances and beachfront bars to lively clubs and unique experiences, you can easily pair your surf camp experience with a good Uluwatu party.

Watch the sunset from Uluwatu's storied cliffs while reflecting on the day's adventures. Then, when the sun sets, swap the flip-flops for dancing shoes and head to one of Uluwatu's many popular spots for a night out.

Watching live music is another epic way to spend the nighttime hours. There are even quieter beach bars where you can kick back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the moon's reflection splashed across the ocean.

Where are the best party places in Bali?

The best clubs in Bali and the top places to party start in Canggu and run along the coast to Uluwatu.

The main party areas include Seminyak, Legian and Kuta, with a mix of beach bars, clubs and rooftop venues.

However, for a more relaxed and upscale vibe, Uluwatu is the place to be. If you’re wondering what to do at night in Bali, this is the spot to visit. With its stunning cliffs overlooking the ocean and chilled out atmosphere, it's perfect for unwinding after a day of surfing the Bukit.

Uluwatu has become a spot for trendy bars, beach clubs and live music venues, attracting a mix of locals and tourists. It's also home to some of the best nightclubs in Bali, making it a must-visit for partygoers.

A well-renowned day club in Bali, Savaya boasts top-tier facilities, luxurious food and drinks, and first-class resident DJ entertainment. The centerpiece, known as The Cube, is a tower of shimmering silver and glass positioned atop a gravity-defying bar and lounge deck.

As the sun sets, The Cube comes alive with vibrant light effects – it’s a spectacle that has to be seen to be appreciated. There’s also an elegant infinity pool plus an extensive menu of signature cocktails you can order from your loungers or at the swim-up and main bars.

You won’t find a more aesthetically striking nightclub in Bali, and with global acts playing regularly plus VIP bungalows and cabanas, Savaya is a magnet for Uluwatu visitors looking to party in paradise.

Famous among the Uluwatu surf community, "Single Fin Sundays" are a highlight, featuring a lively party atmosphere as the sun sets over the ocean. The menu caters to comfort food lovers, offering fish and chips, burgers, pizzas and fried chicken.

During the day, you can enjoy the view of surfers tackling Uluwatu's waves, making for perfect entertainment. Single Fin combines modern comfort with a laidback ambiance, which is pretty much the sweet spot for Balinese vibes.

Ulu Cliffhouse / Fancy bar and iconic Uluwatu nightclub

Ulu Cliffhouse is the perfect spot for lounging by the pool... if you like luxuriating surrounded by swaying palms, swanky guests and tasteful bungalows with thatched roofs (we do!).

This iconic Uluwatu destination is known for its jaw-dropping design and the fact it attracts some of the biggest DJs and most popular acts in the world. Saturday parties are worth dropping by for, and they regularly organise chic white parties that you definitely shouldn't miss. For a change of pace, Tuesday movie nights are also sure to make an impression.

The venue's in-house restaurant offers delicious seafood while the bar serves up innovative cocktails to keep the good times rolling.

Again, it does come with a higher price tag than what you might be willing to spend, but it's worth swinging by for a drink to two just to take in the atmosphere.

Beyond its dynamic dance floor, Hatch provides a variety of entertainment options including beer pong, table tennis, board games and pool tables.

Il Salotto Bali / A fashionable and trendy Italian eatery and bar

Four Italian friends. One fashionable spot.

Il Salotto Bali is more than just a restaurant and bar, it's the result of four Italian friends coming together to bring a piece of their culture to the beautiful island of Bali. With its sister restaurants already established across Bali, Il Salotto is now bringing a taste of Rome, Manhattan and London all to one place.

If you're craving cocktails or high-class liquors, Il Salotto has got you covered with their full bar. As for the food, well, it's simply irresistible. From traditional Italian dishes to fusion cuisine, there's something for everyone at Il Salotto.

Try their arancini balls and signature Il Salotto’s Bramble. If there's a better way to eat and drink a la Italiano in Indonesia, we don't want to know!

The Cashew Tree / Legendary Uluwatu cafe with its very own garden

Sometimes you just need a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and The Cashew Tree offers just that with its tranquil garden setting.

Nestled in the heart of Uluwatu, this café is a hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery and calming sounds of nature. It's the perfect spot to unwind with friends or family while enjoying delicious food. And it is delicious. Their menu is organic, locally sourced and full of flavor.

You can start your day off with a nutritious smoothie or opt for their famous Big Breakfast to cure any post-night-out regrets. Their salads are not your average greens and will leave you feeling satisfied and energised for the day ahead.

Speaking of feeling satisfied, The Cashew Tree also morphs into a pretty cool club come nightfall.

Thirsty Thursday sees live music events while weekends are for moving your body on the dancefloor. It’s a cool scene, for sure, and one that’s worth checking out if you’re looking for good music and great people to meet.

TABU / Mexican-meets-Japanese eatery with a late night club

Mexican and Japanese cuisine coming together is like the forging of two food superpowers. On one hand, you have the bold and fiery flavors of Mexico, while on the other hand, Japan is known for its refined and delicate cuisine.

This eclectic but harmonious blend of flavors can be experienced at TABU daily. And with its bohemian-inspired decor and natural materials, TABU provides the perfect backdrop for indulging in this unique culinary experience.

But it's not all about the food, mind you. After having your hair blown back by multiple rounds of delectable dishes, it's time to take the party to the next level at TABU's late night club. Calories will be burned. Laughter will be had. Cocktails will be consumed.

If there's one place you must try, even just to say you've been, it's TABU in Uluwatu.

Rock Bar / Breathtaking bar overhanging an idyllic beach

The Rock Bar is one of the most well-known bars in Uluwatu.

To access it you must take a lift down the side of a cliff to get onto the small rock island where it sits. If that's not impressive enough already, the panorama when you step off the lift is truly breathtaking.

The sunsets from here are nothing short of spectacular and pairs beautifully with their amazing cocktails. Rock Bar also has a dedicated music director, which ensures you'll be toe-tapping and finger-wagging (or not) long into the night.

Of course, one of the main pulls of Rock Bar is the fact that it hangs over a small beach with a stunning pool that gives you uninterrupted vistas of the sparkling Indian Ocean.

Awe-struck faces, beautiful people and admittedly pricey drinks are aplenty. Still, it's worth checking out Rock Bar if only for cliff hanging views.
